Dennis Vance, 72
Dennis Duane Vance, 72, passed away from cancer on May 22, 2024, in Pearland, Texas. He was born in Kalispell to his parents, Willis and Louise (Hopkins) Vance. He grew up in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School. He later went to radio communications school in South Dakota, where he later became a radio DJ and TV reporter. Afterwards he moved to Texas and worked for Freeman till he retired.
Dennis was known for his strong work ethic and the love for his family and friends. He was a wonderful loving partner, father, and grandfather. He made everyone around him feel welcome and valued. He loved music, camping with his buddies in Montana and working together on projects with family and friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, humor, generosity, and unwavering spirit.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia (Cavazos) Vance; his parents, Willis and Louise (Hopkins) Vance.
He is survived by his partner, Jacqueline Brooks; his brother, Darrell Vance and wife, Christine; his nephew, James Vance and wife, Linda; his stepchildren, Christopher Soza and wife, Lynne; Ledia Perez Temple and husband, John. He also is survived by his grandchildren, many cousins, uncles, and aunts.
Dennis will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Dennis' legacy of love, laughter and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service to celebrate Dennis' life will be held on Friday, May 31, at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St. Pearland, Texas, 77584. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dennis, can be made to your local food bank.
