Law roundup: Couple cry over spilled water

A man and woman who had been drinking separated from each other over spilled water. The man was reportedly yelling at her, and she was upset that he knocked water over and wouldn’t clean it up. They agreed to try to get along for the rest of the night. 

A woman reportedly got into a verbal altercation with a salon owner, upset that they parked in a handicapped-designated parking space to unload items.  

A patient in an altered state of consciousness allegedly told an employee she had a driver but instead got into the driver’s seat and drove away.  

Someone reported a man hanging around a red Dodge minivan parked at a construction site who was “acting shady.” The man “looked freaked out” and walked away from them as they approached to check on how things were going.  

Officers stopped a black Crown Victoria that had flashing lights imitating police vehicles.  

Someone thought it was suspicious to see a man using a knife to pry open a green electrical box and asked him what he was doing. Turns out, the man was part of a painting crew.  

A speeding green Jeep Cherokee was allegedly full of teens who were throwing items out the windows.  

A business reportedly refused a man liquor and called the police because he had alcohol on his breath and was driving a red F-150 with no license plates.  

A property manager allegedly asked officers for extra patrol after getting texts from an elderly resident about someone tapping on their door and windows. They relayed to police that over the past few nights, the resident reportedly heard three knocks and someone leaving between midnight and 3 a.m. The manager was concerned it had to do with a drug deal, saying the previous resident did drugs in the apartment, which they were still working on getting cleaned up.  

A woman reportedly refused to open a tent set up by a rock-climbing wall and identify herself to police. She was hauled to jail for obstruction.
