Dyan E. Lawson, 80

Dyan E. Lawson, age 80, of Whitefish, MT passed away Nov. 13, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born Jan. 18, 1944, in Wolf Point, Montana, to the late Abe B. Ediger and Lily Ediger (Fachner). 

Dyan worked professionally for over 30 years in School District 44 as a payroll clerk. After retirement, she continued bookkeeping here and there for various local businesses. Dyan was involved in Hillside Church as a member and contributor. She was brave, classy and a bit of a social butterfly. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, singing, playing piano, being outdoors, GNP, and spending time with family. She will always be remembered when thinking about the good times on a “safari.” 

Dyan is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Bob Lawson; children Lonnie R. Dyck (Sheila) and Lesly L. Smith (Jerry); 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Geraldine Morken (Don). 

In addition to her parents, Dyan is preceded in death by sister, Karen Ediger.
