Law roundup: Antagonistic brothers nearly come to blows

A woman reportedly returned home to find her son had punched a hole in the wall and told him to leave, locking him out. She told a Kalispell Police Department officer that she was bringing his brother home, whom he did not get along with, and he was in town for a revocation hearing.

After being locked out, he called the police for advice, wanting to know the legality of the situation after living with her for three weeks. He alleged that his brother was calling him names and threatening to beat him up and believed he was high on methamphetamine. One of the brothers was purportedly a member of the “Modern Outlaws.” Parties were separated and he got his belongings and left.

An officer stopped a pedestrian to find out why he was yelling at another man across the street. He said the other man was littering.

A woman wearing brass knuckles allegedly refused to leave her ex's car; grabbed the steering while he was driving; tried to choke him; hit him a few times and tapped the windshield like she was going to break it. She reportedly had a criminal record.

A 2-year-old reportedly toddled his way outside of his house and was missing for about 10 minutes. The child’s parents called the police back after finding him.

Someone swung by the police department to drop goodies off for officers.

Check fraud to the tune of $2,972.50 was reported to police.

A man in his 20s, who was wearing a hunter’s hat and black jacket, was reportedly checking the doors of vehicles on Second Street West. Officers stopped a man matching the description who said he was not involved and had walked up Main Street into a parking lot.

A man walked a slight woman in her 70s home and called the police asking for them to check on her welfare after she initially approached him asking him to sew her mouth and eyes shut and help put her in a box.  

A woman in a red Ford SUV was allegedly nodding off and looked to be under the influence of something. The woman, who complained of rib pain, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

An employee allegedly found a pouch containing white powder behind a desk. Officers collected the pouch which appeared to be a “bindle bag” containing methamphetamine. 

Officers issued a parking ticket to a man and gave him a second warning.

A shoplifter was reportedly aggressive with employees and then left in a brown vehicle that a provided license plate returned as belonging to a white horse trailer.
