Law roundup: Manager finds whole drug kit and caboodle
A woman reportedly left a large brown purse at a location and when the manager looked for an ID, they found drugs and needles instead. Officers collected the purse which contained two black cases containing “drug kits” and a bag full of what appeared to be methamphetamine. The drugs and kits were booked into evidence for destruction and the purse, which didn’t contain an ID, into safekeeping if the woman was ever inclined to retrieve it.
A 6-foot-tall stranger allegedly went to a house twice and pounded on the door, using the light gray hoodie he was wearing to hide his face from the doorbell security camera. The man arrived at the house in an old Porsche.
Officers received a later call from a woman who reportedly heard someone pounding on the door four times but didn’t see anyone.
A man fully dressed in camo was allegedly walking up to vehicles and customers in a pharmacy parking lot, yelling at them.
Someone called the police because they were suspicious of an individual using a chainsaw that evening. But they did not know what the individual was doing with it, nor did they have a description of the person because a privacy fence was doing its job and blocking their view.
Someone abandoned a 911 call and dispatch reached a store employee on the callback who said he asked a young man in a “cowboy outfit” to leave multiple times alleging that he had previously vandalized the property. Officers detained the man and told him he was not allowed on the property.
A situation involving removing a woman from a front office was allegedly escalating. An employee had called officers for assistance when she conceded, saying she would “go willingly” if she “got her stuff.”
Officers told a pedestrian not to stand in the highway and block traffic.
A woman was reportedly back in a laundry room, twitching and holding her head. Jail staff were advised.
About eight cars going to a garage sale were allegedly blocking two-way traffic. The vehicles were moved.
A building manager reportedly asked officers to extend a woman’s one-week ban for another month after she was found on the second floor, unconvinced she was free of her violent tendencies.
