Braeden Gunlock officially signs with BYU
Braeden Gunlock, a multi-sport standout in her senior year at Bigfork High School, officially signed to play women's basketball at Brigham Young University Wednesday.
Gunlock’s achievements include two state championship appearances, All-State Bbsketball selections in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and All-State soccer selections in 2022 and 2024.
In 2022-23 she led the Valkyries to their first state basketball title, in Class B; Bigfork moved up to Class A last season and Gunlock averaged 17.6 points and 9.8 rebounds while the Vals made the State A championship.
“We couldn’t be prouder of Braeden,” Bigfork activities director Matt Porrovecchio said. “Her work ethic, commitment, and passion for the game have set her apart. BYU is not just getting an outstanding athlete but an incredible person who will excel at the next level.”
“Signing with BYU is a dream come true," Gunlock said. "I’m grateful for the support of my coaches, teammates, family, and friends who have helped me get to this point. I can’t wait to represent BYU on the court and continue to grow as a player and person.”
