A flower shop employee feared for her safety after a person she suspected of being homeless entered the store and asked for money. She told the Kalispell Police Department that she explained to the man that she had no money and suggested he try shoveling snow for extra cash. Though he left to get a shovel, she remained concerned for her safety, telling officers she had no phone and no way to defend herself. That reportedly led to a conversation about her concerns about the local homeless population and the city's apparent inability to do anything about it. Officers reportedly reminded her that she could reasonably defend herself if she is ever in fear for her safety. They noted the employee was dissatisfied with that answer.

Claiming she was wrongly evicted, a woman wanted to know if she could get back into her apartment.

Another recently removed tenant asked for officers' help in retrieving his belongings from the home he had shared with his ex. They suggested he try a mutual friend first and then think about a civil standby. The man agreed, saying he would file a civil suit against her if necessary.

A woman flagged junk mail as a possible scam.

Border Patrol agents were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident after one driver accused the other of being in the country illegally.

A thief made off with a $400 box of sports cards.

Officers arranged for a man to get a ride to the hospital after he turned up at a pharmacy telling the employees he was bleeding internally. The employees, though, suspected he was just very drunk. Authorities also banned the man from the pharmacy.

Stopping in at a store to warm up while walking to his driver's education class, an 18-year-old unwittingly triggered a police search. When he failed to show up at the class on time and ignored his phone, his parents phoned the police to report him as missing. After being found in the store, the 18-year-old was reunited with his family.

Fed up with a "cruel manager" who allegedly fostered a hostile work environment at a fast food fried chicken joint, an employee contacted the police. They recounted an incident in August when they caught the manager scarfing down a chicken nugget and made a joke about it. The manager allegedly tried to shove the nugget in the employee's face. The manager also apparently called the police down on the family of another employee when they showed up to confront him about his mismanagement. Officers let the employee know that the human resources department was better suited for the situation.

Authorities unsuccessfully tried to track down a trio of kids allegedly pelting passing cars with snowballs.

Someone thought they heard gunshots in front of a tire service center.
