Law roundup: Errant Christmas trees lands in road
The holiday season apparently got off to a rough start for one family after a caller reported spotting a Christmas tree in the middle of a southbound lane to the Kalispell Police Department. Officers unsuccessfully searched the area for the wayward Tannenbaum. No word on whether they spotted a 1989 Ford Taurus wagon returning to retrieve the evergreen.
Officers cleared a building after a burglary alarm went off.
Authorities investigated a seemingly abandoned delivery truck after a passerby spotted it parked behind a building with its rear door open and the lights turned on. The passerby suspected the vehicle was stolen and said it looked like it had once been used to ferry appliances. Officers contacted the trucking company, who said they were in the process of getting the truck removed from the area.
