Rev. Tod E. Fox, 71

| November 27, 2024 12:00 AM

Reverend Tod E. Fox, 71, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Nov. 24, 2024. A faithful servant of God and a devoted pastor, Tod dedicated his life to preaching the gospel and caring for others. He was a man of unwavering faith, deep compassion, and unconditional love, touching countless lives through his ministry, counsel, generosity, and quirky sense of humor.

Born on Nov. 6, 1953, Tod was the son of the late Ralph and Joyce Fox. Tod met his wife, Brenda, in his early adulthood at Mid-South Bible College, and together they shared a beautiful life built on faith, love, and mutual commitment to serving the Lord. He was heartbroken when she passed away, but his faith in God and his community carried him through.

Tod’s ministry spanned many decades, during which he served congregations with dedication and joy. His sermons were filled with the hope and grace that comes from a life surrendered to Christ, and his care for the spiritual well-being of others was evident in everything he did. He had an extraordinary ability to encourage and extend mercy to those who felt they had fallen short in life. He chose to live his life with an open heart, forgiving easily and always willing to give second chances.

Beyond his ministry, Tod was a passionate lover of the Montana landscape. He delighted in the outdoors, whether fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, or simply enjoying the wildlife that traversed his property. One of his greatest joys in life was opening his home in Coram to his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who fondly remember his unrestrained efforts to enable them to experience the full magic of Montana.

He is survived by his three daughters, Lisa (Josh) Amstutz, Amy (Nick) Gatzke, and Tanya Fox; his 15 grandchildren; and his brother, Ralph Fox, Jr. His legacy lives on through them, and he was deeply proud of the families they had built. He is also survived by many loving friends and his congregation at New Beginnings Bible Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; his parents, Ralph and Joyce Fox; his sister, Jenny Fox; and his father-in-law, Cecil Burcham. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, but we take comfort knowing that he is now in the presence of his Savior.

A visitation will begin at 1:45 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m., at New Beginnings Bible Church in Kila on Saturday, Nov. 30.

In lieu of flowers, the Fox girls would appreciate donations to the Tod E. Fox Memorial Fund, which will assist with funeral costs. Checks can be made out to Lisa Amstutuz (executor of estate) and sent to 410 Frost Drive, Williams Bay, WI 53191.

Tod’s faith, love, and service have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He is at home now, with Jesus, his eternal reward.
