Kalispell artist featured in 'Summer Memories' exhibit
The Phillips Gallery at Kalispell Center Mall presents "Summer Memories” a captivating exhibition by Marsha Davis.
For over five decades, Davis has been translating the breathtaking landscapes that not only capture the physical beauty of her surroundings but also the intangible essence of cherished memories.
From the mist-shrouded shores of Glacier National Park to the sun-dappled banks of the Whitefish River, each painting tells a story. Visitors will find themselves transported to Hidden Lake as snow melts into spring, or standing beside Ashley Creek where horses may be seen grazing in a picture-perfect pasture. These aren't just paintings; they're windows into moments of quiet wonder, shared laughter, and deep connection to the landscape.
Davis’ work reminds us of the incredible beauty that surrounds us every day. Her paintings don't just show us these places; they make us feel as if we're there, reliving our own precious memories of Montana's landscape and areas beyond.
Having called Kalispell home for over 50 years, Marsha's intimate knowledge of the area shines through in every brushstroke. Her mastery of light, color, and atmosphere brings each scene to vivid life, inviting viewers to lose themselves in the moment.
An opening reception for the exhibit is Oct. 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Summer Memories featuring the works of Marsha Davis will be on view in Phillips Gallery until Oct. 26. For more info call 406-309-2335.
