2 late goals lift Bruins over Bravettes

Two quick goals from Avi Schmautz and Elaina Stern brought Flathead into a 3-3 tie Friday, but Helena Capital got two quick goals — in the 76th and 79th minutes — of its own to prevail 5-3 in Western AA girls soccer at KidSport.

Katerina Routzahn and Jane Stiffler found the net three minutes apart to break the 3-3 tie and raise the Bruins’ record to 5-5-1. They were the second goals of the game for each player, and came after Schmautz and Stern scored in the 50th and 53rd minutes for the Bravettes. 

Brinley Youso scored Flathead’s first goal. Chloe Baker and Azalea Bailey had assists for the Bravettes (2-10).
