Lakers pitching camp deadline is Oct. 16 

The 1-Pitch Warrior Boot Camp, organized by the Kalispell Lakers Legion baseball club for pitchers in the Flathead Valley, starts Oct. 20 and has an entry deadline of Wednesday.

Pitchers age 11-18 from Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Eureka, Bigfork and Kalispell are invited to join the once-a-week camp, which runs on Sundays through Dec. 1. 

Sessions run from 10-11:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at ABS Park, 325 East Reserve in Kalispell. Cost is $135 to cover the 10 hours of mental and physical training.

3 Montana girls ranked by Flo Wrestling 

Three Montanans high school wrestlers appear in Flo Wrestling’s national girls rankings that were released on Oct. 9. 

Kaura Coles, a junior who competes for Glacier High School, is ranked No. 5 at 118 pounds.  

Ronan senior Tirza TwoTeeth is ranked first at 200. 

The third Montana is KyLee Lindsley, a senior out of Belgrade. She is ranked sixth at 175.
