Martin City man accused of producing, distributing child porn
A Martin City man accused of producing and distributing child pornography pleaded not guilty in federal court in Missoula on Tuesday.
Prosecutors allege that Raymond Owen Bonner Jr., 39, coerced a minor into engaging in sexually explicit acts on camera in Martin City in June and September of this year. He also allegedly distributed child pornography using a computer, court documents said.
Bonner appeared before U.S. Magistrate Kathleen DeSoto in U.S. District Court in Missoula on Oct. 22 for his arraignment. He was detained following the hearing.
Bonner faces between 15 and 30 years in prison, a minimum of five years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine on the child pornography production charge and five to 20 years behind bars, a minimum of five years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine for the distribution charge.
The FBI investigated the case in conjunction with the Flathead County Sheriff's Office.
Bonner previously faced felony drug possession and bail jumping charges in Flathead County District Court, but records show both those cases were dismissed earlier this month.
