Howard John Sabestinas, 78

Howard Sabestinas, 78, devoted husband to Denise and loving father of four, crossed into eternity on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024. 

Born in New York in 1946, Howard was an extremely smart child who loved to cause shenanigans with his brother Roy. After graduating high school at age 15 and attending some college, he started an early career as a funeral director. He volunteered for the Army, serving in Korea and then the Reserves.

He met Denise in San Diego where they had four children, Jennifer, Joy, John, and Justin. The family moved to northern Montana where Howard worked on a farm before settling into a career as a banker in Cut Bank. In 1992 he became the administrator at Christian Center in Kalispell (now Canvas Church). Howard enjoyed spreading the love of Jesus through mission work in South Africa, Togo, Lesotho, Kenya, and Mexico. 

His wife, children, and fifteen grandchildren will miss him dearly, and they are grateful for the legacy of kindness, generosity, and faithfulness he leaves behind.
