Law roundup: Buyer free to keep playing banjo
Someone who allegedly bought a banjo in Woodland Park about a month ago called the Kalispell Police Department wanting to know if it was stolen. Officers checked a stolen property list and could not find anything fitting the description so the person was free to carry on picking.
A reserve deputy reportedly lost his wallet containing a Sheriff’s Department Office badge and key card.
Two teens allegedly stole a guest’s electric scooter and took it for a joyride before returning it.
Officers received a later report from someone allegedly receiving repeated scam calls from a Whitefish phone number where the caller pretended to be a deputy. The person getting the calls said they had not given the scammer any information or money, however, they still had some personal information anyway. Although the information was the type that can be found online, they were still concerned and wanted to speak with an officer.
A business complained the driver of two vehicles had reportedly been parking in a way that blocked in employees who were unable to leave.
