| October 29, 2024 12:00 AM

Alicia Crystal Fredericks, 49, passed away on Sept. 4, 2024. She was born on Oct. 08, 1974, at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, California, to Mary-Helen and Sidney "Sid" Fredericks.

Soon after her birth Sid and Mary-Helen moved back to Marion, where Mary-Helen was from. At the age of 4, Mary-Helen and Alicia moved to Reno, Nevada, eventually ending up in Las Vegas.

Alicia graduated from Flathead High School in Kalispell in 1992 and immediately joined the marines in 1992 and spent three years in the Marine Corps deployed in Japan, Okinawa and South Korea. She earned an award for being the Most Outstanding Physical Training Marine in her boot camp company.

She was an incredible artist and had a wanderer's spirit who moved through life like the wind, never staying in one place too long and never tiring of finding ways to express her creativity, she loved to sing and dance! This time of year was her absolute favorite, it fueled her passionate soul.

Alicia had an unparalleled ability to fight which she used to fight the debilitating symptoms of Huntington's Disease for 20 years — after first watching her mother suffer and die from the same horrific disease.

Although Alicia spent most of her life in Montana, she also loved her time in Nevada and moved back and forth to Las Vegas a couple of times and died there.

Alicia was a devoted daughter, wife, stepmother, sister, aunt, grandmother and hard and fast friend, who would give you the shirt off her back, who cherished her family.

She is survived by her beloved sisters, Tracy Danno, Diana Garcia, Michelle Aquino, Aaron Danno, Ashley McCormack, and Amy Piilola; her father, Sidney "Sid" Fredericks and stepmother, Shawn Fredericks; 12 nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary-Helen Collier; her grandparents, four uncles, and cousin, Jason Collier.

The family invites you to celebrate Alicia's life at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, at Conrad Cemetery with a reception immediately following.
