Law roundup: Man ready for his storyline to appear in ‘Fargo’

A man reportedly learned he was the victim of identity theft when he received a summons through Flathead County to see a judge stating he owed $19,000 and an American Express account had been fraudulently opened under his name in Fargo, North Dakota. 

A homeowners association manager reportedly passed on a complaint about an unsightly gray “tattoo trailer” parked in the neighborhood for five days. The trailer was not attached to a vehicle. 

A man riding his bicycle down the sidewalk allegedly hit a fire hydrant and was injured. A passerby told officers they did not see the accident, but the man was bleeding from the head and unresponsive, but breathing.  

A man allegedly sent more than 50 text messages to a woman’s business phone harassing and threatening her possibly as a means to get to her child’s father who purportedly started dating his child’s mother. The bitter man also posted reviews on her business and social media pages. When she deleted the messages and blocked one of the many phone numbers he used, he turned around and used a different number. She wanted officers to tell him to stop and planned to apply for a temporary restraining order. 

A muralist called the Kalispell Police Department advising them he would be painting on “the rock.” 

Someone asked officers to check on the welfare of a man in his 60s who was allegedly lying on the sidewalk next to a cane and a bottle of vodka. The caller told officers he tried to wake the man, who was breathing, but he did not respond. The man declined medical attention and was brought a sandwich. Officers reported that he would possibly be able to be checked on again the next day. 

An irresponsible pet owner allegedly lets three dogs loose to defecate on neighbors' lawns. One neighbor wanted to speak to the animal warden about it. 

A homeless man reportedly said he was going to get a gun and shoot people as a means to be taken to jail but did not have access to firearms at the time. The person calling in the report allegedly said there was no need for him to have a mental health evaluation, they just wanted to inform officers. The officer said they would speak to him to see how he was doing if they saw him. 

Someone complained about a school bus blocking their driveway for six hours, but it turned out the bus was legally parked and not blocking the driveway. 

Jewelry allegedly stolen from a woman’s vehicle parked at the library was returned, but she still wanted to report it. 

Someone reportedly broke into a hotel room during the night and stole $100.
