WTC music series presents Canadian guitar ensemble Montreal Guitare trio
Considered Canada’s hottest guitar ensemble, the Montréal Guitare Trio will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
MG3 has been showcasing its virtuosity internationally for more than 25 years.
The show presented by the Whitefish Theatre Company consists of guitarists Sébastien Deshaies, Glenn Lévesque and Marc Morin. MG3 bring a dynamic and captivating presence to the stage, amazing and surprising audiences through their talent and humor. In addition to playing guitar, MG3 also sing and play the violin, mandolin, bass, accordion and more. While MG3 always pays homage to Italian great Ennio Morricone, the musical range of this passionate trio varies from Tchaikovsky to Mozart, Falla to Metheny, Haden to Guaraldi, Piazzolla to De Lucia, and even the Beatles to Radiohead.
The ensemble’s original compositions showcase their innovative spirit, unique flair and guitar virtuosity. MG3 is a testament to the power of acoustic music, blending technical mastery, emotional depth, according to a press release from WTC.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for students with reserved seating. Box office hours are from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m. weekdays and one hour before a performance.
