Law Roundup: Vehicle windows smothered in Vaseline

They didn’t use butter, cheese, or jelly, but a surveillance camera allegedly did capture suspects in Kalispell spreading Vaseline all over a vehicle’s windows, rendering it unfit to drive. The victim planned to pursue charges after the suspect allegedly admitted to the shenanigans.

The Kalispell Police Department was called to investigate an alleged case of animal cruelty where two dogs were being kept in an elevated cage with only bars on the floor. The dogs were out in the rain and unable to lay down. Police determined the enclosure was unfit for the dogs.

Two men behind a building clad in black were allegedly yelling derogatory statements.

Two women reportedly got into an argument over “stupid stuff” that escalated to a pushing and shoving match on the street after a night of drinking.

A resident had video of someone kicked down their fence.

A woman at graffiti rock claimed she heard someone screaming in the woods. Police were unable to locate anything suspicious.

A woman was busted for trying to steal booze from a store. She turned over the alcohol and was cited for theft.

A young child without shoes or socks was outside of a home screaming for his mother. A man inside the home allegedly wouldn’t let the boy inside. Police were unable to locate the child.

A resident called police about a persistent woman who kept asking to camp in her yard. The suspect apparently was armed with a taser and pepper spray. The suspect was gone when police arrived.

A man on a bike allegedly threatened another person with a weapon.

An 18-year-old in Bigfork was allegedly given a stolen firearm and her father took it away but ended up giving it back to her and her mother called Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, noting that both were fentanyl users.

Sipping on a Twisted Tea in front of a Columbia Falls steak house, an intoxicated woman was warned to put the alcoholic container away and to stop yelling at people walking by. She was also advised of an outstanding warrant.

A woman who recently moved to Kalispell reportedly invited people inside her home after they dropped her off and someone stole her tablet. She didn’t know her address and had no mail or paperwork to find the address. It wasn’t clear why she didn’t go outside to look.

Twelve horses on the loose were reportedly passing time on a Kalispell road.
