Soccer: Whitefish sweeps Stevi
WHITEFISH — The girls won in a rout 8-0, the boys won a 5-4 squeaker and Whitefish swept Stevensville in Class A soccer action Tuesday at Smith Fields.
Whitefish girls 8, Stevi 0
Delaney Smith had four goals in the girls’ 8-0 win, with Sadie Olson, Madi Gordon and Delila Vine each adding a goal and assist.
Olson got the scoring started with a mid-range shot on goal; she assisted on Smith’s first goal. Taylor Dorvall hit a free kick for Whitefish’s sixth goal; and Brynn Morse had an assist.
Whitefish boys 5, Stevi 4
Preston McPhearson scored two goals and assisted on another for the Bulldogs, who got their important fifth goal from Elijah Adams-Griffin, off a feed from Nenry Barbieri.
Kyler Johnson and Jack Ohlerich each had goals as well, with Griffin Gunlikson and McPhearson supplying the assists. Logan Bingham assisted on McPhearson’s first goal; his second came off a free kick by Ohlerich.
