Kobe Dorcheus and the Glacier Wolfpack ran wild Friday in their 49-6 victory over Biliings Senior at Legends Stadium.

The senior running back carried for 220 yards — the ninth most in a single game in Wolfpack history — and three touchdowns. Junior quarterback Jackson Presley added two scores on the ground and one in the air. Glacier (2-0) ran for 285 yards as a team.

“Our mindset was just go attack them, so that’s what we did,” Dorcheus said. “I had Ben (Winters) pulling for me, I had big tackles, big guards pulling for me. My coach told me to bait inside and go outside, so I started figuring that out throughout the game. Follow my puller, then get outside and just burst up field.”

Dorcheus picked up yards in chunks with eight of his carries going for more than 10 yards.

The rushing game made up for a difficult day in the passing game, Presley went 8-for-16 in the air for 124 yards and one touchdown.

"He (Senior coach Chris Murdock) came in and said you are going to have to run the ball to beat us,” Glacier coach Grady Bennett said. “They dropped eight; with Jackson back there teams may start doing that ... We stayed patient, got behind our o-line and gave the ball to Kobe and he goes for over 200.”

Bridger Smith added a touchdown through the air, finding Micah Klippenstein for 27 yards on a double pass during the Wolfpack’s first drive.

Dorcheus doubled the Glacier advantage with an 11-yard scamper midway through the first quarter.

Early in the second Dorcheus found paydirt again with a 2-yard rush to make it 21-0.

The only speed bumps for the Glacier offense came in the second quarter as Presley fumbled once, then threw an interception to Ryder Murdock on the next drive.

Murdock and Billings Senior (1-1) took advantage of the short field as Kale Konecny powered in for a 5-yard score.

The Broncs offense struggled all evening, going 2-for-10 on third down and earning just six first downs. The Wolfpack defense held Senior to 111 yards of offense and forced two turnovers.

Late in the first half, Glacier extended the lead again with a 12-yard pass from Presley to Ethan Anderson.

Out of the break Pressley led a pair of short touchdown drives, the first ending with a 11-yard scamper for the quarterback.

The second is an early candidate for play of the season as Presley evaded pressure on fourth-and-16 to roll out to his right, cut up field and made a defender miss before powering through a trio of defenders into the end zone for a 19-yard score to extend the lead to 42-6.

“We had a good pass play lined up and they sent the rush, I just had to make something happen,” Presley said.

With the clock running in the fourth quarter, Dorcheus put his finishing touch on a career game with his third touchdown from 3 yards out.

The Wolfpack now prepare for a home matchup against Butte on Friday at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs handed Glacier their only regular season loss in 2023, coming back from 21 points down in the fourth quarter.

“I told the boys last year, probably the most gut-wrenching loss I have ever had,” Bennett said. “I have been sitting on that one for the last year and I know a lot of these guys have.”
