Betty Amundson, 94

Betty (Gingery) Amundson, 94, passed away on the night of Sept. 1, 2024, peacefully at home. 

She was born on March 6, 1930, in Plains. She started school at Flathead mine, and graduated in 1949 from Flathead High School. Betty met Tony, her husband, on the Jellison school bus in 1945. They married Dec. 17, 1950. She was a loving mother and wife. 

She is survived by her husband, Anton "Tony" Amundson; three sons, John Amundson, Jerry (wife Jeri Ann) Amundson, and James "Jim" Amundson; grandchildren, Josh (wife Suzi) Amundson, Jody Amundson, Shane (wife Sabrina) Amundson, Amanda (Rob) Amundson, John (wife Caitlin) Amundson, Jene (wife Kylee) Amundson; eight great-grandchildren; friends and family too numerous to mention. 

Betty had the most important job in the world — mother and homemaker. She did that excellently in all ways without complaint.
