MISSOULA — Avery Omlid threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns as the Missoula Big Sky Eagles defeated the Flathead Braves 29-0 Thursday at MCPS Stadium.

Turnovers hindered the Braves (0-3) for the second week in a row as the Eagles (3-0) forced four interceptions and four fumbles on a rainy day in the Garden City.

Brett Pesola went 8-for-13 throwing for 66 yards, while Eli Coopman finished the day 9-for-16 with 108 for the Braves.

Jack Blodgett led Flathead in receiving with 47 yards on two catches, Lane Chivers went for 44 yards on four receptions. Ben Bliven brought in four passes for 41 yards.

Eli Coopman carried the ball 10 times and picked up 52 yards.

Big Sky got on the board first with a five-yard Omlid pass with 3:17 left in the first.

The Eagles were set up again quickly after a Flathead fumble 15 seconds later and converted that into another score from five yards out.

Cormack Batt caught two of Omlids touchdowns on the day, Mason Fulford caught the other.

Big Sky took a 20-0 lead into the half and added the final nine in the third to stay unbeaten on the season.
