Summit on Parkinson’s disease in Kalispell
A nonprofit organization focusing on Parkinson's disease is holding its autumn conference in Kalispell on Sept. 27-28.
Summit for Parkinson’s is holding its Living Dynamically with Parkinson’s: Mental Health, Movement & Music summit at the Red Lion. The free, in-person and virtual conference will interactively share the most current information to help Montanans living with Parkinson's disease, and related conditions, and their care partners live life to the fullest.
The summit includes nationally recognized professionals and Montana providers and specialists in the areas of mental health, movement, music, and general knowledge specific to Parkinson’s disease and health management.
Featured speakers are Dr. John Herndon, a movement disorder specialist with Oregon Sciences University, and Sara Linn with the Davis Phinney Foundation.
Annie Cox, Occupational Therapist and representatives from Montech, will talk on tips, tricks and tools for optimizing safe spaces.
Lynnell Gravelle, physical therapist and certified LSVT BIG, Rock Steady coach, will talk on movement and balance activities. While Mika Inoe will lead Orff theory music therapy activities.
