Law roundup: Man not used to being told ‘no’

A man wearing a black jumpsuit reportedly threatened to punch and “rip people’s faces off” in Kalispell when someone told him “No,” after he asked them for money. Kalispell Police Department confirmed the man had a warrant out and responded to the scene. 

A woman went to the Kalispell Police Department to follow up on a report about her stolen wallet. She reportedly said around 3 a.m. a man, who looked like the Zodiac Killer, had been in her home and left her door open. She thought he found her address on her ID, which was in her wallet. Officers offered extra patrol and told her security measures she could take. 

A man out shopping was reportedly interrupted by an alarming phone call from a man he sold a phone to, who said he would not pay for the phone, and threatened to come “shoot up his home.” Someone was taken to jail. 

Someone purportedly had "a weird interaction" with a neighbor who seemed out of it when he gave them $100, he said he found. The individual said he wasn't comfortable keeping the money and wanted officers to review video footage of the incident. 

A tire and rim were abandoned in a woman's yard. 

Bullets were purportedly ricocheting everywhere in Columbia Falls according to someone who said a neighbor was out shooting but didn’t know their address. 

Someone drove through a chain that was blocking a driveway, damaging a fence in Columbia Falls. The caller said they had evicted a tenant the previous week. The person called deputies later alleging they located the vehicle, which drove by the house, revving the engine, noting the backseat occupants were drinking. 

A Kalispell woman called 911 to report corralling an older blind dog that walked into her yard. She confirmed there was no emergency. 

A woman allegedly reporting a friend harassing her via text messages, had difficulty explaining what happened, relaying a very long, convoluted story. 

About seven people reportedly tried to break up a fistfight between two people in Lakeside. 

Someone in Kalispell complained that a man skateboarding in the road was a hazard, causing traffic to stop.
