Reject CI-128

We are writing to strongly urge anyone reading this to vote no on the upcoming ballot initiative CI-128.

First of all, this initiative is completely unnecessary, as abortion is already legal in Montana up to viability.

Second, viability is actually a very poor standard, as the humanity of an unborn baby does not change regardless of age, as it is present at conception.

Please vote no on CI-128.

Montana’s legacy

The constitutional initiative on the ballot this election has huge implications for the future of Montana, as well as the obliteration of the future for untold thousands of Montanans.

If this initiative passes, Montana will become the bloodiest of all the states as far as baby killing is concerned. This is not the legacy we as voters should desire for our posterity.

Vote no on CI-128, the life you could save could be the life of your own grandchild.

Tester is for farmers

An unwelcome text came into my phone this morning from a “Senate Leadership Fund.” I don’t know who they are and I won’t repeat their hateful words disrespecting Sen. Jon Tester, but good Lord. They have the nerve to suggest that Jon is not taking care of our farmers. It would be laughable if it weren’t so offensive.

I suspect the Senate Leadership Fund is one of those faceless organizations that think they can influence us Montanans with their racist garbage.

We must not fall prey to these out-of-state dark money groups. We know better than that. We know Jon Tester. He is the only working farmer in the Senate and he has been the best possible friend to all Montanans as our senator. We will be fortunate to keep him in Washington, D.C. representing us here in the Last Best Place.

Trump’s failed promises

Can we tolerate another four years of former President Donald Trump’s lies and broken promises?

When Trump ran in 2016 he promised to lock up Hilary Clinton and eliminate Obamacare. Didn’t happen, Trump promised to build a southern border wall and Mexico would pay for it. Didn’t happen, and what little wall that was built Mexico did not pay one peso.

Trump promise to revitalize the coal and steel industry? Didn’t happen. During Trump’s term coal production dropped by 24% and steel production dropped. Trump says he going to improve the economy. Trump lost 4 million jobs during his administration as compared to 12 million jobs created during the Obama administration and 15 million created so far under President Joe Biden’s.

Trump lied to the American people that Covid was hoax, it was just another flu season and would be gone by the end summer. Under Trump the U.S. had more deaths per capita than another country.

And then there was the big lie about the 2020 election which resulted and an attempted coup on our democratic government and left five people dead and countless injured. Even today there are ongoing death threats to election officials, lawyers and judges who did not go along with the big lie.

Remember if Trump’s mouth is moving, he is lying.
