It was all Wolfpack Thursday night at Legends Stadium.

Neve Travis and Bailee Dahlman scored and the Wolfpack girls soccer did not allow a shot on goal en route to a 2-0 victory over Crosstown rival Flathead.

I think our control of the match was never in doubt,” Wolfpack girls coach Doug Mello said. “We squandered some chances, but when you hold a team to no shots at goal you have to be happy.”

In the second game of the evening the Wolfpack boys found goals from AJ Zlogar and Liam Ells to down the Braves 2-0.

The Wolfpack (4-1-2) poured on the pressure from the opening whistle, keeping Flathead (1-6) pinned back in their defensive end but for a few counter attacking opportunities that ended quickly.

Emmery Schmidt found the first shot on target of the game in the 21st minute for Glacier but Grace Gall was there to make the stop for Flathead.

The Wolfpack broke through in the 28th minute as a foul in the box set up a penalty. Travis stepped up to take it and slotted it in the lower right corner giving Glacier a 1-0 lead.

“I was nervous, but I just stared down the keeper and made sure she didn’t know what side I was going,” Travis said. “Last minute I just looked down at the ball and passed it into the corner.”

In the second half Glacier kept up the pressure with multiple chances through the first 20 minutes of the half.

In the 60th minute Dahlman doubled the Wolfpack lead directing home a corner.

The Bravettes got a chance late in the 71stminute but were unable to get a shot on net.

The Braves (1-6) put up a fight and challenged Wolfpack goalkeeper Malachi Lilly multiple times but couldn't find a way past the senior netminder.

In the 11th minute Glacier (5-2) took the lead as Zlogar found some space at the top of the box and pocketed one in the lower left corner of the net past an outstretched Kutter Ward.

“The ball just bounced right for me, and I got some space at the top of the box and put away the shot,” Zlogar said.

The teams traded opportunities through the rest of the half with Flathead getting a good chance on a free kick just outside the box. Lilly was there to make the save though as the game stayed 1-0.

The Wolfpack seized control in the second half, finding most of the shots, but Ward kept it a 1-0 game.

Then, in the 73rd minute Glacier captain Liam Ells made a run from midfield, cutting through Braves defenders before rolling one into the left corner and growing the advantage to 2-0.

“I picked it up at half and kind of just took off,” Ells said. “We had a lot of those through the game and we tried to slip it in, but that one I saw it open up and I took it myself.”

Flathead had one more opportunity on a late free kick that ended up over the crossbar and the Wolfpack secured the clean sheet victory.
