Law Roundup: Animals wandering all over the county
It was a day for roaming animals. A black lab without tags was found in Kalispell. A blue heeler and boxer mix were running around unleashed in a Martin City neighborhood.
Three horses were running loose and another three standing beside the road looked ready to run. Stray cats hanging around a Kalispell residence were captured and a black and white male border collie in Whitefish needed to be picked up, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.
In Columbia Falls, a neighbor was throwing rocks and sticks at a caller’s dogs. In Kila, an English springer spaniel with a blue leash still attached was lost.
A grandmother, also in Columbia Falls, was upset that her grandchild had been drinking and pushed her during an altercation. The family later called back saying that threats were made to someone attempting to make food.
People seemed to be yelling at each other about a potential vehicle crash, but dispatch was struggling to ascertain the situation because of a lack of communication from the caller.
Litter was falling out of a trailer.
Someone walking in Kalispell found bullets, gloves, binoculars and a lint roller. They found the items suspicious, asking law enforcement to pick them up.
Multiple cans of automotive paint were in the road in Columbia Falls and reported for concerns about hazardous waste.
An ex was reportedly threatening to stab their former lover with a rusty screwdriver.
Construction vehicles coming out of a site were cause for concern as a traffic hazard in Columbia Falls.
