Mollie Vasquez, 75
In Loving Memory of Mollie Marie Vasquez.
January 7, 1950 - March 26, 2025.
Mollie Marie Vasquez, 75, passed away on March 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband, Willie, and their three children, William, Richard, and Angela. She was embraced by the love and open arms of her first-born daughter, Diana Vasquez Hennessey, who preceded her in death, to guide her to Heaven.
Mollie was born in Ruby, Texas, on Jan. 7, 1950, to Francisco and Mary Ortega. She was raised alongside 13 brothers and sisters. Mollie married the love of her life, Willie Vasquez, in 1965 in Rotan, Texas, and they shared 60 years of love and adventure. Their family began with the birth of their first daughter, Diana, on Sept. 29, 1967. They then moved to Whitefish, where they welcomed three more children, William, Richard, and Angela.
Mollie's quiet strength, kind and warm heart, and the smile or hug she always had ready made her an unforgettable presence in the lives of all who knew her. Her unwavering, unconditional love will be greatly missed by everyone she met. Mollie was the absolute center of her family, which included children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was incredibly proud of her family and worked tirelessly to provide everything she could for them. Mollie and Willie attended every sport, concert, or event to support and encourage their grandchildren. She was always excited to bring the family together and create memories and home cooked meals.
Mollie was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana and Diana's husband, Shawn Hennessey; her siblings Frank, Juanita, Tino, Pete, Steve, Tony, and Johnny; and her parents, Mary and Francisco Ortega.
She is survived by her husband, Willie, and their three children, William (fiancée Christina), Richard (wife Kelly), and Angela (husband Kevin); her brothers, Joe, Ray, and Matt; her sisters, Mary and Josie; 18 grandchildren, Chans, Tristin, Gage, Diana, Isaiah, Olivia, Trae, Tilynne, Teegan, Eric, Maria, Kortney, Casey, Makayla, Colin, Isabel, Mya, and Reid; and eight great-grandchildren, Sturling, Rhori, Ripley, Arianna, Anthony, Banks, Nash, and Conri.
In her final moments, Mollie told her children to "Be Positive and Believe." Her last wish was for Willie and the family to stay together and make everlasting memories until they meet again.
