Lack of sleep blamed on early morning gathering

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department to report a rude awakening. The caller alleged that several cars would gather near their house every morning at 6:30 a.m. to play loud music.

A man in a camo jacket allegedly picked up their dog and threw it because he was having a bad day. 

A needle was reportedly found in the toilet at a local government office. 

Tools were stolen from a local church. 

A man in a stocking cap was allegedly racing vehicles with a remote-control car near a skate park. 

A distraught caller reportedly contacted police multiple times with concerns about a crooked post office box. The offending mailbox was at a 45-degree angle, and the caller worried it would fall over and hurt someone. 

An apartment manager suspects a former tenant of stockpiling backpacks.  

A local gossip called dispatch to ask why police were at a nearby residence. The caller reportedly said she “isn’t always a Nosey-Nelly" before rambling for several minutes. The woman called back five minutes later to apologize for wasting dispatch’s time. 

Someone reportedly watched a driver in a blue Subaru down a shot.  

A woman said she didn’t want to pursue charges after someone supposedly used a ladder to climb through the window and steal her boyfriend’s safe. She said the culprit was probably a friend who knew her schedule. 

A man reportedly stole a $110 power bank from a store. 

A 1-year-old supposedly locked himself in a car. The child appeared unphased when officers unlocked the car 15 minutes later. 

A couple got into a public screaming match over Social Security.
