Sentinel overpowers Flathead, 15-1

MISSOULA — Nina Sammoury had three hits and drove in four runs, and Alyssa Hanninen threw a five-inning two-hitter as Missoula Sentinel downed Flathead 15-1 in Western AA softball Tuesday.

Haley Sellers’ two-run double in the first inning set the tone for Sentinel (4-4), who outhit the Bravettes 15-2 at Kidsport. 

A bases-loaded Walk and an error helped the Spartans go up 4-0 in the second; Sammoury’s two-run double was the big hit in a five-run third inning,  

Flathead notched its run in the fourth: Makenna Korf walked with two out, moved up on a passed ball and scored on Paulina Holland’s single. Reese Conley added a double for the Bravettes, who fanned 10 times. 

Flathead is on the road Thursday, playuing Missoula Hellgate at the Rattlesnake Fields at 5 p.m.
