MISSOULA — Down 6-1 after four innings, Glacier had its comeback fall just short in an 8-7 softball loss at Missoula Sentinel Thursday.

Cazz Rankosky had two hits and two runs batted in for the Wolfpack (4-2), including an RBI single to put her team up 1-0 in the first.

Sydney Goldbar’s two-run home run capped Sentinel’s five-run third inning, and the Spartans (5-4) wouldn’t trail again — though Karley Allen’s RBI groundout narrowed the gap to 6-5 in the sixth inning, and two Sentinel errors helped Glacier (4-2) close the gap to 8-7 in the seventh.
