A.L.E.R.T. Banquet fundraiser April 26 for medical flight program
This year marks 50 years of lifesaving care by the A.L.E.R.T. medical flight program, and that will be honored during the annual fundraising banquet for the service on April 26.
The 47th annual A.L.E.R.T. Banquet, hosted by the A.L.E.R.T. Advisory Board and Logan Health, is being held at the Trade Center Building at Flathead County Fairgrounds. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m.
The A.L.E.R.T. program began in 1975 as the second hospital-based advanced life support helicopter system in the United States and the first of its kind in rural America. Today, A.L.E.R.T. continues its lifesaving legacy in the region and has evolved into an elite medical and critical care transport program with a highly trained and highly specialized flight crew. Since its creation, the program has responded to more than 20,000 emergency calls and saved more than 2,900 lives.
“Philanthropic support from the A.L.E.R.T. Banquet and our dedicated donors have allowed this program to grow, evolve, and continue delivering lifesaving care when every second counts,” said Michael Barth, Logan Health Foundation President. “This investment in emergency medical transport is an investment in the safety and well-being of our families, friends, and neighbors — ensuring that help is always within reach. This year’s banquet is not only a celebration of 50 years of impact but also a tribute to the incredible professionals who make this program possible. We are honoring the A.L.E.R.T. flight crew and medical staff for their commitment, as well as the generous community of donors whose support has ensured this program’s continued success.”
All proceeds from the Banquet directly fund and support the A.L.E.R.T. program, providing the flight team with the resources and equipment they need to continue saving lives and helping patients. Since 2000, over $10 million has been raised in philanthropic support.
The evening includes a hosted cocktail hour, buffet dinner, live music, and silent and live auctions.
