MISSOULA — Reed Boyer drove in a pair of runs and Whitefish jumped out to a 9-0 lead as the Bulldogs bested Missoula Big Sky 9-4 at the Paddleheads Showcase at Ogren Park Allegiance Field Friday.

Boyer’s double capped off a five-run fourth inning for Whitefish (6-1) and put the Bulldogs up 9-0. Tait Orme and Christian Schwaderer also picked up RBIs in the inning.

Logan Stewart threw four innings on the mound for the Bulldogs, allowing just one hit. Carter Godsey and Orme each pitched in relief.

Henry Wilson and Kody Evans both doubled for the Eagles (5-3), who scored three runs in the seventh.

Polson 10, Corvallis 4

Paxson DuMont knocked in the go-ahead run on a single to centerfield during a seven-run fifth inning for Polson as the Pirates defeated Corvallis at the Paddleheads Showcase.

DuMont’s single came right after Landon Pablo tied the game on a single to right field that brought home Cole Haggard. The Pirates (5-1) trailed 4-3 entering the frame.

Polson jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first thanks, in part, to a Maddox Bird single that drove in Eli Evenson.

Corvallis took a brief 4-3 lead in the bottom of the fourth after Adrian Sears came home on a passed ball. Owen Marston had three triples for the Blue Devils (2-5).

The game ended after six innings due to the time limit set by event officials.

Ronan 11, Stevensville 6

Liam Jackson tripled and Hunter Luedtke drove in a pair of runs as Ronan downed Stevensville at the Paddleheads Showcase.

Jackson’s triple drove in Treysin Sinclair to start a 3-run fourth inning for the Chiefs (5-3-1) that extended their lead to 9-1.

Luedtke’s RBIs came in the second inning as he singled to right field and drove in Baylan Hess and Denzel Baltz to put Ronan up 3-0. He also threw four innings on the mound, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out four.

Joey Wheeler doubled for the Yellowjackets (3-3) in the fourth to cut the deficit to 9-3. The game ended after five innings due to the time limit.
