Margaret M. Littlefield-Schrade, 89
Margaret Mary Dietzel Littlefield-Schrade, 89, from Somers, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Kalispell.
Margaret was born Dec. 23, 1935, in Dedham, Massachusetts, to Henry and Mary Dietzel. She was one of 10 children. She married Guy W. Littlefield Nov. 7, 1953, and was by his side in life and in his passing on Jan. 8, 2002. She lived by herself until she married George Schrade June 28, 2008, until his passing April 28, 2016.
Marge was an avid bowler all her life. She traveled to many tournaments locally, statewide and even nationally. She thoroughly enjoyed meeting bowlers from every alley she bowled in and made lifelong friends. She also loved to play her organ she bought for her home. She would be playing and singing at the top of her lungs when she didn’t know anyone was listening. She was an "unofficial" leader in a Kitchen Band that visited assisted living and nursing homes throughout the Flathead Valley. She took pride in her home overlooking Flathead Lake with numerous pine trees and watching the chickadees that she fed. She loved playing cards, such as pinochle and cribbage. She loved her friends that have become very close to her, whom she considered her extended family during her journey that she called life.
She is survived by her three children, Howard (Akemi) of Japan, Gary (Gina) of Culdesac, Idaho and Gene (Donna) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Darryl Littlefield, April Littlefield, Aric (Leslie) Littlefield, Casey Littlefield, Jeremy (Moriah) Littlefield, Zakary Littlefield, Seth (Gabriela) Littlefield and Spencer (Accassia) Littlefield; 11 great-grandchildren — with the 12th due in July; her sister, JoAnne Pelletier in Massachusetts; along with numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband(s), Guy Littlefield and George Schrade, her parents, five brothers, three sisters, her father and mother-in-law, one brother in-law and sister-in law.
There will be a celebration of life held for Margaret at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 25, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, 525 Main St., Kalispell. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity in Marge's Name.
The family would like to thank Logan Health, Immanuel Living and all of the teams of doctors and nurses that cared for Marge.
