Acoustic fingerstyle wizard performs as part of Whitefish music series

| April 24, 2025 12:00 AM

Guitar virtuoso Luca Stricagnoli is set to perform at the O’Shaughnessy Center April 25 as part of the Whitefish Theatre Company’s music series.

Considered a unique guitarist around the world, the Italian-born acoustic fingerstyle wizard continually leaves his audiences in awe and wondering what is next. His guitar style includes using violin bows, playing multiple guitars at once, playing with his feet and using modified capos and unusual tunings.

Stricagnoli’s creativity has led him to invent instruments like the reversed triple neck guitar and the reversed slide neck, which have vastly contributed to the modern evolution of the acoustic guitar.

His eclectic setlist ranges from rock to pop, soundtracks to hip-hop and arrangements to originals.

Stricagnoli started out as an acoustic guitarist, distinguishing himself through his innovative playing techniques. His career took off with the viral success of his online music videos, which showcased his ability to play complex arrangements on multiple guitars simultaneously, often using modified capos and self-developed methods.

He continues to push the boundaries of acoustic guitar performance, highlighted by his independently released solo arrangement of Muse's "Hysteria" on his signature reversed triple-neck guitar. He also collaborated with his wife, singer-songwriter, Meg Pfeiffer, on her pop album "Unsent" in 2022.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at whitefishtheatreco.org, at the box office, 1 Central Ave., Whitefish, or by calling 862-5371. Box office hours are from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m. weekdays and one hour before a performance.
