COLUMBIA FALLS — Jett Pitts pitched a complete game two-hit shutout on his way to striking out 15 batters for a 5-0 Columbia Falls win over the Polson Pirates in North A baseball on Friday.

Pitts had outstanding control over seven innings, walking just one batter and striking out every Pirate in the lineup at least once.

Cooper Ross doubled and had two hits for Columbia Falls (8-1 overall, 7-0 in North A games), with an RBI and run scored. Wyatt Dodson went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Reggie Sapa and Treysen Murphy both doubled.

Landon Shoemake and Cody Haggard collected the hits for Polson (5-6-1, 4-6 in league), both of them coming in the first inning. Haggard hit a double to move Shoemake to third before Pitts struck out the next batter to end the threat.

Cole Wadsworth started opposite Pitts, allowing six hits and four earned runs across five innings. He fanned four. Shoemake threw in the sixth inning, striking out two.
