Girls hoops: Browning handles Polson
POLSON — Amani Yellow Owl scored 14 points and Teslin Trombley added 12 as Browning defeated Polson 60-39 Saturday in Northwest A girls basketball.
Shaylee Heavyrunner tallied 11 for the Indians (6-6 overall, 4-2 in Northwest A games), who used a 25-9 third quarter to break the game open.
Aleysia Black led the Pirates (5-9, 3-5) with 14 points, Rylee Taylor-Jefferson added 10.

BIGFORK — Braeden Gunlock poured in 36 points, including three 3-pointers, and the Bigfork Valkyries cruised to the Northwest A win.
Paeten Gunlock added 16 points, 10 in the fourth quarter, while Keni Wade hit a pair of three and scored 14 for the Vals (12-2, 8-0 in league). Braeden Gunlock had three threes and 20 points after halftime.
Emalee Alton led the Wildkats (6-8, 4-4) with 12 points. Onnika Lawrence hit two of three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and finished with 10. All of Kierra Kemppainen’s eight points came in the fourth.

Madison Vincent led the Loggers (2-13, 1-8) with 11 points, including a pair of first half 3-pointers.
