C-Falls boys use big first quarter to down Whitefish

WHITEFISH — Bjorn Pedersen scored a team-high 15 points and Columbia Falls raced away from Whitefish early to take a 77-52 win in Northwest A boys basketball Tuesday. 

Easton Brooks added 14 points and Grady Hutton tallied 10 for the Wildcats (13-2 overall, 8-1 in Northwest A games), who led 25-10 after one quarter. 

Will Sisson led all scorers with 17 points for Whitefish (5-7, 2-5), including four 3-pointers. Both teams hit eight shots from behind the arc. 

CJ Thew and Cooper Dudley had seven points apiece for the Bulldogs.

BROWNING — Tristan Crawford scored 14 points while teammate Jude Reevis added nine and Browning powered past Bigfork in another Northwest A matchup. 

Roy Madplume tallied eight for the Indians (9-3, 6-1), who saw nine players score. Browning broke the game open by outscoring the Vikings 15-7 in the third quarter. 

Austin Savik led Bigfork (4-10, 2-6) with 18 points, while Tamret Savik added 14.
