Wildkats race past Lady Bulldogs

WHITEFISH — Onnikka Lawrence scored 14 points and Taryn Borgen added nine as Columbia Falls pulled away from rival Whitefish 55-28 in Northwest A girls basketball Tuesday. 

Alanis Peterson tallied eight points for the Wildkats (7-8 overall, 5-4 in Northwest A games), who used a 17-4 third quarter to take control. 

Carmella Alfieri led the Bulldogs (4-9, 2-6) with 11 points, while Allie Shors added six.

Bigfork 73, Browning 42 

BIGFORK — Braeden Gunlock scored a game-high 21 points, while sister Paeten added 20 and Bigfork cruised past Browning in Northwest A action, 

Keni Wade tallied 14 points for the Valkyries (13-2 overall, 9-0 in the Northwest A), who outscored the Indians 27-14 in the third quarter to break the game open. Payton DeSpain had 10 to put four Bigfork players in double figures. 

Peyton Eagle Feathers led Browning (6-7, 4-3) with nine points, Tashlyn Lazy Boy and Josephine Michael added eight each.
