Movie Night at the Museum screens classic film noir ‘Double Indemnity'

Movie Night at the Museum will feature the 1944 film “Double Indemnity” starring Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck Feb. 25.  
Directed by Billy Wilder, the film’s screenplay was adapted by Raymond Chandler from James Cain’s novel of the same name. It tells the story of insurance salesman Walter Neff (MacMurray) who meets Phyllis Dietrichson (Stanwyck) when he sells her husband a $50,000 accident policy containing a double indemnity clause. Shortly thereafter, Dietrichson convinces Neff to help kill her husband and claim the insurance benefits.  

Also featuring Edward G. Robinson, the film was nominated for seven Academy Awards.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 7 p.m. Admission and popcorn are free. Soda, water, beer, and wine are available for purchase. Seating is provided, but viewers are welcome to bring their own cushions or seating.
