Ogre-sized fun awaits in production of ‘Shrek The Musical’
Based on the Oscar-winning smash hit film, the Whitefish Theatre Co. is presenting “Shrek The Musical” over three weekends.
The show by David Lindsay-Abaire and Jeanine Tesori has performances on Feb. 21-23, 27-28, March 1-2 and 7-8 at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. There will be a sneak preview performance on Jan. 20. All performances are at 7:30 p.m. except for the matinee performances at 4 p.m. on Jan. 23 and March 2.

Join Shrek and his trusty sidekick Donkey as they set out on a quest to defeat the fearsome dragon and rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona. With a heartwarming story and a cast of unforgettable characters and fairy tale misfits, this musical extravaganza is a journey you won’t want to miss. This show is set to toe-tapping musical numbers such as “I’m A Believer,” “Big Bright Beautiful World” and “I Know It’s Today.” Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, “Shrek The Musical” is a Tony Award-winning and side-splitting adventure that proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.
Playing the titular character is Malcolm Sharbutt as Shrek, joined by Bria Anderson as Princess Fiona, Mikey Winn as Donkey, and Billy Fernandez as Lord Farquaad.
Also bringing the magical world to life is Joy James, Angie Green, Wyatt Herndon, Isaac Clayton Schroeder, Amy Spicer, Laura Abernethy, Jayna Fernandez, Audrey Hanley, Ryan Kitzmiller, Adina Lockwood, Ben Wood, April Sarraille, Bronwen Prew, Lucas Counts, Haley Hyde, Emma Dawson, Catherine Carte, Myles Schott, Lavena James, Joel Welle, Amy Chisholm, Jonathan VanGilder, Christopher DeJohn, Ethan Lopez, Trent Truman, Grayson Wood and Faith Fernandez.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $10 for students. Tickets to our sneak preview performance on Feb. 20 are $12 for adults and $10 for students and are available for purchase at the box office the night of the show only.
