Kemppainen heats up in Wildkats' Friday win

COLUMBIA FALLS — Kierra Kemppainen hit five 3-pointers and scored 15 points, and the Columbia Falls Wildkats steadily pulled away to beat Browning Friday in Northwest A girls basketball.

Kemppainen hit three treys in the second quarter as the Kats opened up a 30-22 lead. Onni Lawrence scored six of her 13 points in the third quarter as the gap grew to 45-27. 

Lawrence and Taryn Brogen (11 points) each hit a 3-pointer for Columbia Falls (9-8 overall, 7-4 in Northwest A games). 

Shaylee Heavy Runner led the Lady Indians (7-9 overall, 5-5 in league) with 11 points.
