Lieberg, Wetzel lift Helena boys over Flathead
The Helena High Bengals put on a show Friday night at the Flathead gym, particularly in the third quarter of an 81-51 win over the host Braves in Western AA boys basketball.
With Tevin Wetzel and Jaxon Lieberg each scoring 15 points, the Bengals (12-4 overall, 8-3 in Western AA games turned a 32-24 halftime lead into a 62-33 runaway.
Wetzel hit five 3-pointers in the frame; he finished with six treys and 24 points. Lieberg scored a game-high 28, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Brodee Zahn led Flathead (2-14, 0-11 in league) with 16 points; Lyric Ersland came off the bench to score 11.
