Bystanders doused a lit Molotov cocktail that was thrown underneath a white Ford Focus by a man who later fled the scene. Investigators found a Coca-Cola bottle filled with gasoline and stuffed with a rag still lit and smoldering when they arrived.

Suspecting that a guest at a business was actually a fugitive from justice and running a prostitution ring out of a room, someone alerted the Kalispell Police Department. Officers looked into it and found that the existing warrants were from outside the county and nonextraditable.

The victim of credit card theft told officers that the thief tried to make purchases with it several times. They said that the card has since been frozen.

After someone walked off with his estimated $190 jacket from a church, a man turned to the police for help. He told them he had tried to contact the church for security camera footage but had not yet heard back. All of the jackets and coats were stored in a common area in the basement, he said. He only noticed the jacket had vanished when he was preparing to depart.

A motorist reported spotting a box on the road. Officers later cleared the roadway.

Man's best friend might have deterred an intruder. A resident told officers that a strange man opened their unlocked front door. The family dog growled at him and the man shut the door. Officers were unable to locate the unwelcome houseguest.

Someone reported a pair of vehicles parked in such a manner that they blocked traffic, describing them as a gold Audi Q5 and a black Chevrolet Impala. Officers determined that the two cars were on private property and not blocking any traffic.

Coming across a bicycle she recognized as being reported as stolen on Facebook, a store employee phoned the police. Officers collected the lime yellow and blue Trek bicycle and returned it to its owner.

Officers moved along a homeless man at the behest of an employee of a nearby building.
