The Montana Farm Bureau Federation hosts the Young Farmer and Rancher Leadership Conference Jan. 17-19 at the Holiday Inn in Missoula. The conference provides an incredible opportunity to hone leadership skills, learn about advances in animal care and crop science, and meet peers and professionals involved in agriculture. Child care grants
Zero to Five Montana, in partnership with the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services Bright Futures Birth to Five program, is offering a one-time grant opportunity for Montana employers through the Family Forward Montana initiative to develop an employer-sponsored child care program. Grants will range from $10,000 to $100,000 depending on the size and scope of the employer’s project plan. Interested employers can apply at https://familyforwardmt.org/grant. SCORE Montana is offering free online small business workshops. SCORE has helped more than 17 million entrepreneurs start, grow or successfully exit a business by providing free expert mentoring, resources and education in all 50 U.S. states and territories. This month’s offerings include marketing strategies on Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon, the power of Google on Jan. 9 from 10-11:30 a.m., increasing website sales on Jan. 15 from 11 a.m. to noon.
