Glacier boys sixth at Pacific NW Classic
SPOKANE — Behind tournament champions Aiden Sweat, Jerin Coles and Niko Coles, Glacier placed sixth at the Pacific Northwest Classic Saturday.
Sweat scored a pin in 3 minutes, 6 seconds to win the 106-pound title and Jerin Coles pinned his opponent at 1:37 to take first at 150. Niko Coles scored a technical fall to win the 165 bracket, outscoring his opponent 18-2 in the span of 2:29.
In addition, Matthew Ahner placed third at 165, while Mark Ahner (175) and Noah Horn fell in the finals of their weight classes.
Glacier scored 144 points at the 21-team tournament; Spokane Mead won with 247.5, and University High out of Spokane was second at 224. Lake City out of Couer d’Alene was third at 170.
