Montana State drops road game to Eastern Washington

CHENEY, Wash. — Montana State lost their fifth-straight game and remain winless in conference play, after dropping a game to Eastern Washington 68-63 Saturday night in Big Sky Conference play.

Tyler Patterson led the way for the Bobcats (5-10 overall, 0-2 in Big Sky games), scoring a team-high of 16 points. His 3-point play with 11:55 left in the second half put the Bobcats up 48-47, their only lead in the second half. 

The Eagles (5-10, 1-1) had three starters reach double figures, led by Nic McClain’s 16 points. Andrew Cook tallied 13 while Mason Williams added 11. 

Brandon Walker was the only other player to reach double figures for the Bobcats, scoring 12 points and five boards in 19 minutes.  

The Bobcats shot just 36.5 percent from the field and went 6-for-22 from beyond the arc.  

They will look to end the skid when they host Northern Colorado Thursday at 7 p.m.
