Glacier girls nab dual win over Spartans, boys fall

Katelyn Sphuler and Brooke Yeadon earned pins for the Wolfpack girls Tuesday evening as Glacier defeated Missoula Sentinel 24-15.

“Brooke Yeadon is coming off a good tournament win at Ronan and continues her domination,” Glacier coach Ross Dankers said. “As well as Kaetlyn Sphuler now down at 100 pounds and looking tough as ever.”

The Pack got a pair of wins via forfeit at 130 pounds and 135.

Harley Lerback grabbed the lone pin of the evening for the Spartans at 125.

For the boys, Noah Horn picked up a pin in the final match of the night for the Glacier boys, but it wasn’t enough as the Wolfpack fell 36-35.

“Great duel tonight for the boys coming off a great Pacific Northwest classic tournament,” Dankers said. “Aiden Sweat did a great job bumping up for us and getting the pin and continues to dominate his opponents on top and is putting together a great season.”

Sweat got the Wolfpack on the board first with a pin at 118 over Oscar McClead. Jerin Coles and Matthew Ahner also picked up pins on the evening.

Glacier next battles with Flathead on Thursday.
