Alfiera helps Whitefish girls past Eureka
WHITEFISH — Carmella Alfiera hit five 3-pointers and poured in 23 points, lead Whitefish over Eureka for a 54-30 non-conference girls basketball win Thursday.
Alfieri hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points while the Bulldogs built a 30-20 halftime lead.
Kossman nine by halftime. She hit two more threes in the third quarter as the lead ballooned to 45-24.
Reese Hudson hit three 3-pointers and added 11 points for Class A Whitefish. Izzy Short had 17 rebounds.
Bryn Kossman scored 12 points for Class B Eureka, nine coming in the first half.

BIGFORK — Paeten Gunlock hit four 3-pointers and scored 27 points and the Bigfork Valkyries made short work of Hamilton.
Gunlock hit two threes in each half, and had 16 points by intermission as the Vals built a 36-16 lead en route to the non-league win. Ava Davey had all of her eight points in the first half for Bigfork.
Meryn Leonardi had 11 points for the Broncs, including three 3-pointers.
